Emergency Stabilization Act: Federal income tax credit. = a 30% tax credit.
State Incentives:
Washington State has implemented the SSB, (Substitute Senate Bill 5101), providing financial incentives for participating utility companies and their customers who choose to use solar, wind, and anaerobic digester technologies. Utility companies benefit from the renewable energy incentives by decreased utility taxes. You the consumer benefit by a pay back from the utility, according to SSB utilities are authorized to pay 12 cents per kWh for wind power, and 15 cents for solar and anaerobic power. If your solar inverter is made locally then change that 15 cents to 18 cents! Now, add on top of that 18 cents another 36 cents if the panels are local and that brings you 54 cents per kWh.
Tacoma Power Customer Incentives:
In addition to the state and federal incentives listed above, the local Tacoma power utility is offering an incentive itself of 6.5 cents per kWh- call it the gravy.
