Seattle.gov- "Priority Green"

Seattle's Department of Planning and Development is providing incentives for "green projects" as defined on their website. (See references below).

• FASTER REVIEW TIMES: For multifamily and commercial projects meeting LEED Gold or Platinum, DPD will shorten initial plan review time for building permits by 2 weeks.  For single-family and town homes meeting LEED for Homes Silver, Gold or Platinum, DPD will shorten initial plan review time for building permits by 4 weeks.
• PRIORITY REVIEW: Priority review for innovative projects with potential code challenges. DPD is ready for your emergent design with an integrated, coordinated response. All projects that meet DPD criteria for Innovative Projects or participate in the Living Building Pilot are eligible.
• HELP ALONG THE WAY: 1.  Early review guidance on permitting in advance of a building permit application.  2. For downtown residential projects (at least LEED silver) eligible for additional height or additional floor area.  3. The new permitting process provides early site access to residential project applicants who agree to remove a structure through deconstruction rather than through a standard demolition process.
